Donate Life Day began in 2005 as a community donor awareness event in Jacksonville, Florida. The event includes numerous donor and transplant-related organizations such as LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services, the Southeast Tissue Alliance, Nielsen Organ Transplant Foundation, St. Andrews Lighthouse, Florida Tissue Services, The Blood Alliance, and others.
